Sarawak walked away deserved winners against Johor MP Muar but it could have been a totally different story. Having leaked in 8 goals in the last 2 games, Sarawak put a stop to that against ATM last Friday with a 0-0 draw away from home. Tonight saw Sarawak opt for a defensive minded 4-1-4-1 formation, playing Abang Za’afari in the holding midfielder position just in front of the defence and Effendi Abdul Malek operating as a lone striker leaving out Zamri Morshidi, Sarawak’s top scorer with 7 goals.
That sinking feeling
The euphoria of beating league leaders Felda United two weeks ago has truly been lost. Two successive defeats have put Sarawak’s season into perspective. Last night’s match against Harimau Muda showed Sarawak’s inexperience and lack of conditioning as a team made up of under 19s showed fitness and class to steamroll past Sarawak 4-1.
The Jewel That Lost Its Spark
Just over a month ago, I felt I had to have it. It became a growing obsession. It was everything I had wanted and more. It was cool. It had the x-factor. It was the iPhone 3GS. But now, I have overcome the massive hype and you should too.
Sarawak vs KL Pos Malaysia FC
Sarawak’s winning streak came to an end last Monday at MPS Stadium to the hands of the same team they faced last night. The scoreline of 2-3 suggested Sarawak could have come away from Selangor with another scalp. Last night’s win of 3-1 showed the continuing progress the team seems to be making of late. In particular No 7 Zamri Morshidi who bagged another brace in front of a dismal 400 attendance.
