7 Days!

Sigh. It’s been a long wait. Never have I had to wait this long for a trip. Normally I have 2 weeks notice before I travel but this time around I’ve been waiting for more than a month. It’s actually my first planned trip for quite awhile but it depends on your definition of a planned trip.

More than anything, it was a spurt of the moment kind of thing when I booked my tickets to Philippines. And not much planning went into it anyways. It was basically agreeing the dates with Jv then getting my boss to book it with his credit card. Once the tickets were booked, I went on a beach-planning spree but it’s not like I’ll be able to go. I won’t even have half of the money I budgeted so it’s going to be a bit of a worry. I neglected to calculate the bills I’d have to pay before actually leaving Kuching.

I have 6 days to come up with an extra RM500 which I think is going to be a bit hard. But I have faith in the expression ‘all good things come to he who waits’ and boy am I waiting. It’s been awhile I’ve been blessed with a miracle so I’m hoping it’s coming soon. But it’s not like Sports Toto or Magnum 4d is going to give me money anytime soon. Damn bastards! How hard is it for them to put my numbers as first prize?

So anyways, the closer it gets to the departure date, the more apparent it becomes that I’ll be spending 2 weeks on Luzon Island rather than having the opportunity to go to Boracay or any other beach. Sigh, at least I’ll be able to see a particular someone which makes this trip even more meaningful than when it was first planned. I wonder if she has any clue. In a way, it was planned and booked so I could run away from someone and it turns out I’m running towards someone instead.

It’s weird how these things happen. Anyways, Philippines prepare! For, I am coming to raid your shores.
