I need clarification. Women can vote, women have equal rights, so what else are women picketing for? Do men have to start going through labor only then will women all over the world be happy? What does gender equality really mean? And since when were men superior to women? I’ve always assumed that women saw it the other way.
Again what is equality? Every time I read about women tennis stars demanding an equal amount of prize money with their male counterparts for grand slams, I get pissed. I don’t mean that they shouldn’t be given an equal amount but if they want it then play 5 sets like the men rather than just 3 sets. So because they’re women, they shouldn’t have to play 3 to 5 hours like the men but they should have equal prize money? Crap.
Playing the gender card when not given what is expected is such a lame thing to do and I despise those who do it. If I was vying for a promotion with a woman and I didn’t get it, I wouldn’t assume that it was given because she’s a woman but merely because she probably had more to offer (or she gave a real damn good blowjob) so why should she think otherwise if I had gotten it?
Gender does not define capability or ability and I will be the first to admit it. Many women I know are more capable than George W Bush. There are as many emotional men as there are women. There are as many stubborn women as there are men. Physical prowess of man comes with a weakness between the legs while women with limited physical strength have no physical soft spots.
Equality is whatever we make it to be. What is equal to some people might not look so equal to others. Women have come a long way from the days behind the kitchen and tending the house but honestly speaking, in the modern day, is there still a need for people to take the streets and picket for equal rights?
If looked at properly, us men should be demanding equal rights.
