What the??

Puak, Kerokong – A freak typhoon storm was reportedly seen here in the late hours of Saturday, 22^nd July near Kampung Puak, Krokong, Bau. A local resident was awoken by violent winds and was stunned when he could see the stars from his bed through a gapping hole in the roof that had suddenly appeared.

Rushing outside, he claims to have seen swirling winds on the slope of a nearby mountain. According to him, the storm suddenly calmed for about 10 minutes before resuming once again. The sudden calm is actually the eye of the storm. Morning investigations reveal that a small part of the mountain had been ravaged by the storm. He was lucky not to have sustained damages more than just a cut-up roof.

While no casualties were reported, the resident was left wondering with a gapping roof and also the lost of many trees that are actually durian trees which coincidently is in season at the moment. Examining the scene, durians were seen all over the sides of roads.
